WHERE IS THE BEST TO BE INSTALLED
• Install an alarm in the bedroom and hallway, if you have several bedrooms,
you should install an alarm in every room.
• Install one in the stairway and on every floor.
• Smoke, heat and burning things will spread horizontally after rising to the ceiling,
so install the smoke detector on the middle of the ceiling of an ordinary structured house.
This way the smoke detector can seize smoke from the entire room.
• If the alarm can’t be installed in the middle of the ceiling for some reason, the distance
which the alarm can be installed away from the wall corner should be beyond 50cm.
(see diagram 1).
• If the length of the room or the hallway is beyond 30 feet, you must install several alarms
in the hallway.
• If the ceiling is slanted, the alarm must be installed 500mm away from the highest ceiling
point in the room (see diagram 2).
