Do you have a question about the NEXT STAR Vega Series and is the answer not in the manual?
The Next Star Vega Series is a sophisticated line of 3D scanning metal detectors designed for precise detection and positioning of hidden objects underground. These devices are based on magnetometry, utilizing magnetic signal processing and analysis methods to detect anomalies and explore buried objects with high accuracy. The technology is suitable for archaeological, military, industrial, and geological applications, including mineral deposits, oil exploration, cavity and karst detection, environmental studies, and the discovery of various underground structures and metals like gold, silver, and other treasures. The devices incorporate the latest scientific articles in artificial intelligence and robotics, featuring professional software, a touch screen, and headphones for an enhanced user experience.
The Vega series offers various models, including Vega NX Pro, Vega GS Pro, Vega NX, Vega GS, Vega DS, and Vega SE, each with specific capabilities and included components.
The core function of the Vega series devices is to perform 3D scanning of the environment to detect and visualize underground objects. The devices capture data at depths ranging from 18 to 50 meters, depending on the model. The proprietary "Gmi" 3D software is central to their operation, providing advanced analytical capabilities and a multilingual user interface. The software supports multiple measurement modes, including unique scan, normal scan, live scan, and linear scan, offering intelligent repeatability and ultimate environment scan analysis to eliminate noise and error for accurate results.
The vertical sensor, a key component, is used for scanning. It features an on/off switch, a charging port, and two keys on the handle: "New Line" for starting a new scan path and "Start"/"Ground Balance" for initiating and calibrating the scanning process. The device indicates readiness with a green "Vega" word on the sensor. The horizontal sensor, included in Pro models, is designed for specific scanning needs and can be adjusted for height.
To operate the device, the vertical sensor is held from the top, with the lower part (marked with a downward arrow) positioned near the ground. It is crucial to maintain the sensor perpendicular to the ground and avoid twisting or shaking during scanning to ensure accuracy. Scanning involves moving straight from a starting point to an end point.
Before starting a scan, the user must ensure the scanning surface is clear. The software will prompt the user to press the "Ground Balance" key to initiate the operation. Holding this button for about five seconds creates a new scan line, indicated by device alarms. Once the line is created, the button can be released and then pressed again (and held) for the duration of the route. Releasing the button prematurely will pause the scan, which can be resumed from the previous point by pressing and holding again. All scan progress is visible on the software. For new routes, the "New Line" button is pressed first, followed by the standard scanning method.
The tablet, pre-installed with the "Gmi" 3D software, is attached to a neck holder. Headphones, either wireless or Bluetooth, connect to the tablet for audio feedback. To activate the software, the device must be turned on, and the serial number from the warranty card entered. This syncs the software with the device, making it ready for use.
The battery level is indicated by the color of the "Vega" word on the device: green for full, yellow for half full, and red for needing a charge.
