Overview

The Nice Soon is a 24 Vdc electromechanical gear motor with an absolute encoder, specifically designed for sectional doors up to 20 m² (for balanced sectional doors equipped with an anti-crash safety device). This compact, guideless solution offers a comprehensive automation system for various residential and light industrial applications.

Function Description

The core function of the Nice Soon is to automate the opening and closing of sectional doors. It integrates a built-in control unit, eliminating the need for a separate guide or ratchet system. The absolute encoder technology is central to its operation, ensuring precise memorization of limit switch positions for both opening and closing. This precision is maintained without the need for traditional limit switches, enhancing reliability and long-term stability of the set values. The system incorporates gradual starting and slowdown during closing, which contributes to smoother operation and reduced wear on the door mechanism.

Safety is a paramount feature, with an integrated obstacle detection system that monitors motor absorption during movement. In case of an obstruction, the system reacts to prevent damage. Self-diagnosis is provided through a flashing light and a courtesy light, offering immediate feedback on the system's status. The Nice Soon is also compatible with the latest generation of 8.2 KOhm optical and sensitive edges, further enhancing its safety capabilities by allowing additional sensors to be connected.

The system is designed to be user-friendly, utilizing the BlueBUS system. This innovative technology simplifies wiring by allowing users to connect photocell couples and the control unit using just two wires, reducing installation complexity and time. For power management, the control unit and an optional PS124 buffer battery can be connected via a simple connector and housed directly inside the motor, offering a neat and integrated solution. The system also features energy-saving capabilities, automatically switching to standby mode when not in use.

Usage Features

The Nice Soon is highly versatile, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It is ideal for residential contexts, including large doors, and can also be used in multi-user environments requiring intensive use. For industrial settings, it is suitable for smaller doors, such as 3 x 3 m loading points. Its compact design, particularly in width, allows for easy installation directly onto the shaft of a sectional door in various positions, offering flexibility during setup.

The system supports a variety of control and safety accessories. Transmitters (such as ERA INTI, ERA ONE, ERA FLOR, NICEWAY) can be used for remote operation. Photocell couples (including EPS, EPM, EPL, EPSB, EPMB, EPLB, F210, FT210, F210B, FT210B) can be mounted on posts or directly on the door frame to detect obstacles. Flashing lights (EL, EL24, ELB, WLT) provide visual indication of door movement. Digital or key switches offer alternative control methods, and sensitive edge sensors can be integrated for enhanced safety.

For off-grid or energy-conscious installations, the Nice Soon is compatible with the Solemyo solar power system. This allows the motor to be powered by solar energy, with a SYP solar panel and a PSY24 battery box. The system also supports a 0-View multifunction display for comprehensive monitoring and programming.

The protective flap on the motor unit includes a courtesy light, which illuminates the garage area during operation. This flap also provides easy access to the control unit, allowing users to connect and program it, modify its functions, and change the lamp without disassembling the entire casing. This design choice simplifies user interaction and maintenance.

For advanced control and integration, the Nice Soon can be connected to the IT4WIFI interface. This smart Wi-Fi interface enables users to manage gates and garage doors via a smartphone, offering convenience and remote access. However, it's important to note that the IT4WIFI is not compatible with the Solemyo Kit and PS324.

Maintenance Features

The Nice Soon is designed for simple and straightforward maintenance. The removable terminals and receivers facilitate easy wiring and component replacement, reducing downtime and complexity during servicing. The self-diagnosis system, indicated by a flashing light, helps identify potential issues quickly, allowing for prompt troubleshooting.

The system's robust design and absolute encoder technology contribute to its long-term reliability, minimizing the need for frequent adjustments or repairs. The precise memorization of limit switch positions ensures consistent performance over time, reducing wear and tear on the mechanical components.

Furthermore, the Nice Soon has passed impact tests without requiring additional accessories, indicating its inherent durability and compliance with safety standards. This robust construction contributes to a longer operational life and reduced maintenance requirements. The new release system with a 4 m long cord provides a convenient manual override in case of power failure, ensuring the door can still be operated.
