3.4 - INSTALLATION
• All installation operations must be made with the system discon-
nected from the power supply. • To fasten and connect all the devices
of the system, perform all the operations explained below; please comply
scrupulously with the sequence given.
01. Setting the position of each wireless device (refer to fig. 2, the instruction
manual of the control unit and the instruction manual of each device).
Warning Two or more pairs of wireless photocells do not generate any
optical interference between each other even when their positions are close
to each other. If hardwired (traditional) photocells are also present in the same
automation system, it is recommended to install the TX wireless elements and
the RX hardwired elements on the same side and the remaining RX and TX
elements on the opposite side. This prevents optical interferences between the
hardwired photocells and the wireless ones.
02. Dismantle the wireless devices to have free access to the device’s “J” setting
jumpers and remove any batteries that may be connected.
Warning Unlike the PHW200 photocells, the FLW200 flashing light has a
manual reset procedure; make sure, therefore, that the device has been reset
or perform the reset procedure (paragraph 5.4.2).
03. Using the respective PHW200 and FLW200 instruction manuals for reference,
insert the jumpers so as to obtain the desired setting.
04. Access the automation control unit (see the instructions manual) and connect
the WM100 interface to the control unit (see chapter 4).
05. Put all wireless devices close to the WM100 interface to program each one
(refer to chapter 5 and find the section for the purpose you require).
06.
After programming, run a device search in the control unit according to the
procedure given in the instructions manual of the control unit.
07. Temporarily position each wireless device in the spot defined for its installa tion;
position the antenna of the WM100 interface in a point that will provide good
reception/transmission.
Lastly, check the proper functioning of all the system devices by running the
Inspection of the entire system as described in chapter 6.
