This document is a user manual for a DC Power Supply, specifically the R-SPS/SPS/SPS-W series, with a 300W model indicated on the cover. The manual is version 01.
Function Description
The R-SPS/SPS/SPS-W series of adjustable regulated DC power supplies are designed for use in laboratories, schools, and production lines. They can function as both a regulated voltage supply and a regulated current supply. Both output voltage and output current are continuously adjustable between 0 and their nominal values. The power supply features excellent stability and ripple factor, along with a robust protection circuit, allowing it to operate at full load for extended periods.

Work Requirement:
- AC Input: Ensure the correct AC input voltage (230V±10% 50Hz or 115V±10% 60Hz) is used to avoid serious damage.
- Environment: Do not operate in ambient temperatures exceeding 40°C. Ensure sufficient space around the rear cooling fan for proper ventilation.
Operation Instruction:
The power supply operates in two modes: Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current (CC). The mode depends on the user-set voltage and current values and the connected load. The output voltage or current will not exceed the set limits.
- In CV mode, output voltage equals the user-set voltage.
- In CC mode, output current equals the user-set current.
- Example Setup (5V, 5A):
- Turn on the power switch.
- Adjust the voltage adjustment knob to 5V.
- Connect positive and negative terminals with wires and adjust the current knob to 5A.
- Disconnect the wire and connect the load.
- Automatic Conversion: The power supply automatically switches between CV and CC modes based on load changes. If the load resistance decreases and the output current reaches the set current value, it switches to CC mode, maintaining the set current while voltage reduces proportionally. To restore CV output, increase load resistance or the current set value.
- Indicators: The CV indicator light is on during constant voltage operation, and the CC indicator is on during constant current operation.
Connecting the Load:
- Rotate the terminal knob counterclockwise.
- Insert the load terminal.
- Turn the terminal knob clockwise.
- Banana plugs can be directly inserted into the terminal hole.
- Caution: Improper connection, especially reversing polarity when connecting battery loads, can damage the power supply and the load.
