Why am I getting unexpected results with red-eye reduction flash on my Nikon COOLPIX L26 Digital Camera?
    • J
      johndixonSep 16, 2025
If you are getting unexpected results when the flash is set to V (auto with red-eye reduction) on your Nikon Digital Camera, use auto mode or change the flash mode when taking pictures with V (auto with red-eye reduction) or fill flash with slow sync and red-eye reduction in Night portrait.

Why can't my Nikon Digital Camera focus?
    • D
      David GalvanAug 25, 2025
If your Nikon Digital Camera cannot focus, it might be because the subject is too close. Try shooting using easy auto mode, Close-up scene modes, or macro mode. The issue could also be that autofocus does not perform well with the subject. In this case, adjust your shooting conditions. If you are using L26 model, set AF assist in the setup menu to Auto. As a general step, try turning the camera off and then on again.

Why is the monitor blank on my Nikon COOLPIX L26?
    • F
      franklawrenceAug 26, 2025
If the monitor on your Nikon Digital Camera is blank, there could be several reasons. First, ensure that the camera is turned on. Second, check and replace the battery, as it may be exhausted. Third, you might be in standby mode, so press the power switch, the shutter-release button, A button, c button, or b (e movie-record) button to exit standby mode. Fourth, if the flash lamp is flashing, wait until the flash has charged. Fifth, if the camera and computer are connected via USB cable, disconnect the USB cable. Finally, if the camera and TV are connected via audio/video cable, disconnect the audio/video cable.

Why doesn't the flash fire on my Nikon COOLPIX L26?
    • K
      Keith DavisAug 27, 2025
If the flash on your Nikon Digital Camera isn't firing, first check if the flash mode is set to W (off) and change it to On. Also, make sure you haven't selected a scene mode that disables the flash. If Blink proof is enabled in the smart portrait menu, disable it. Finally, check for any other functions that might be restricting flash operation.

    • C
      Courtney ToddSep 1, 2025
