Batteries
are easy to install
or replace. To insert
the
510-volt battery,
unbutton
the flap and
slide
the
battery into the
pack.
To insert the
AA-type batferies,
unscrew
the
cover on top of the AA-type
bfttery
chamber, using
a
small coin.
When
loading
tfte
bat-
teries, make
sure that their
positive
andr4tegative
(+
and
-)
poles
are aligned
correctly.

When
the 510-volt battery
pack
is
y'6,a
as
power
source, the
power
switch
on the battery
pack
over-
rides the
one on the main unit. Turn off the switch on
r
the main
unit.
Connect
the
battery
pack
to the ring-'
light socket on the main unit with the
coiled
cord
which
comes with the
pack.
The
cord
is fitted with
a 4-pin
plug
at one end and a 3-pin connector at the
:
other. The
connector also has a
locking
screw
to hold
it
securely. To
preserve
the batteries, do not
leave
'-
the switch on unnecessarilv.
Caution: Remove
the battery when
not in use
to
prevent
leakage
of electrolyte
fluid.
Whenever
you
replace
the 5l0-volt battery,
replace the four
AA-type
batteries
at the same
time.
