Figure 5
1. Inlet
Prior to starting, check that:
The lter is installed;
All latches are tightly locked;
The vacuum hose and tools have been correctly tted
into the inlet (1);
Do not use the device if the lter is faulty.
Starting
VHW311 version with wheels
Figure 6
1. Castor brakes
2. Start switch (if equipped)
Lock the castor brakes (1) before starting the vacuum cleaner.
Starting/stopping the vacuum cleaner
VHW311T version
Turn the switch (2) to “I” position to start the vacuum
cleaner.
Turn the switch to “0” position to turn the vacuum cleaner
off.
Checking the rotation direction of the vacuum unit
motor
Check the vacuum cleaner operation by putting a hand on the
inlet.
If the vacuum cleaner blows air out of the vacuum hose, the
motor rotation direction is wrong; disconnect the machine from
the electrical mains and invert two of the three
phase wires inside the power plug or inside the electrical
panel to which the power cable is connected.
Shaking the primary lter
Figure 7
VHW310 / VHW311 version
In case a ltering capacity reduction occurs when using the
vacuum cleaner, the primary lter is to be cleaned by using
the knob (1).
WARNING!
Stop the vacuum cleaner before shaking the lter.
Do not shake the lter while the vacuum cleaner is on,
as this could damage the lter itself.
Wait before restarting the vacuum cleaner, to allow the dust
to settle. If the vacuuming capacity remains low, even after
shaking the lter, the lter element must be replaced (see
“Primary lter replacement” paragraph).
VHW311T version
Depending on the vacuumed dust quantity and if the pointer
of the vacuum gauge switches from the green zone (2) to the
red zone (3), turn the vacuum cleaner off and shake the main
lter with the knob (1).
WARNING!
Stop the vacuum cleaner before shaking the lter.
Do not shake the lter while the vacuum cleaner is on,
as this could damage the lter itself.
Wait before restarting the vacuum cleaner, to allow the dust to
settle. Replace the lter element if the pointer still remains in
the red zone (3) even after the lter has been shaken (consult
the “Primary lter replacement” paragraph).
Emergency stopping
Turn the main switch to “0” position.
