Overview

The Ninja Kitchen System Pulse is a high-powered, innovative tool with a compact design and outstanding performance, ideal for various kitchen tasks including ice crushing, chopping, blending, kneading, and complete juicing. It is designed for household use only and should not be used outdoors or for purposes other than its intended use.

Function Description:

The Ninja Kitchen System Pulse excels at a wide range of food preparation functions. For mincing, it can handle onions, garlic, and herbs using the blade assembly in either the single-serve cup or the 40-oz. bowl. Kneading tasks, such as preparing bread dough or pizza dough, are performed with the dough blade in the 40-oz. bowl. Dough mixing for items like cookie dough, dessert bars, biscuits, scones, and batters is achieved using the cookie paddle in the 40-oz. bowl. Blending functions, including smoothies, milkshakes, frozen drinks, dips, and spreads, can be performed with the blade assembly in the single-serve cup, 40-oz. bowl, or 48-oz. pitcher. Grating cheese or bread crumbs is done with the grating disc in the 40-oz. bowl. Slicing and shredding vegetables or lettuce are accomplished using the slicing/shredding disc in the 40-oz. bowl. Chopping tasks for salsa, vegetables, or egg salad utilize the blade assembly in the 40-oz. bowl. For ice crushing, producing slushies or snow cones, the blade assembly can be used in the single-serve cup, 40-oz. bowl, or 48-oz. pitcher. Finally, complete juicing for fruit and vegetable drinks is done with the blade assembly in the single-serve cup, 40-oz. bowl, or 48-oz. pitcher.

Usage Features:

The Ninja Kitchen System Pulse incorporates several features to enhance usability and safety:

  • Polarized Plug: The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other) to reduce the risk of electric shock. It fits into a polarized outlet only one way. If it doesn't fit, the plug should be reversed.
  • Pulse Power: This feature allows for controlled blending, processing, juicing, and kneading through short pulses. Users press down on the top of the single-serve drink cup or the handle of the lid in short intervals to achieve the desired consistency.
  • Single Serve Blending: This allows users to blend directly in the single-serve drink cup and then twist on the to-go lid for convenient, healthy snacks with minimal cleanup.
  • Dough Mixing: The system is capable of mixing and kneading various doughs, including pizza dough, cookie dough, and bread dough.
  • Safety Interlocks: The appliance is designed with interlock mechanisms to ensure proper assembly before operation. It will not operate unless the container and lid (or single-serve cup and blade lid) are properly attached and locked in place.
  • Thermal Switch: If the appliance overheats due to overload, a thermal switch will activate and shut off the motor. To reset, the appliance must be unplugged and allowed to cool for approximately 30 minutes.
  • Cord Storage: The power cord can be wrapped around the cord wrap underneath the motor base for tidy storage.
  • Attachments: The system includes various attachments for different functions:
    • Food Pusher
    • To-Go Single Serve Lids (x2)

    • 48-oz. Pitcher
    • 40-oz. Bowl
    • Drive Gear
    • Motor Base
    • Power Cord (not shown)
    • Note: Attachments are not interchangeable between different container types (e.g., 40-oz. bowl attachments are not used with the 48-oz. pitcher).

Assembly and Use Procedures:

  • Single Serve Cup: Place the motor base on a dry, level surface. Add ingredients to the cup, then screw the single-serve blade onto the cup tightly. Invert the cup and place it onto the motor base, aligning the tabs with the slots and turning to the left to lock. Press down on the top of the cup in short intervals to activate. To remove, turn the cup upright and remove the single-serve blade by twisting it to the left, then pull the cup straight up from the motor base.
  • 40-oz. Bowl: Place the motor base on a dry, level surface. Align and lower the bowl onto the motor base, rotating it to the left to lock. Insert the desired attachment (blade, dough blade, cookie paddle, or spindle) by its shaft onto the drive gear. Add ingredients, ensuring they do not exceed the maximum marking line. Place the lid on top, aligning the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the bowl's handle. Push down on the "PULSE" on the handle to start. To remove, pull the lid handle up to a 90° angle, then turn the bowl clockwise to lift off the base.
  • Shredding/Slicing or Grating Disc with 40-oz. Bowl: Assemble the bowl as described above. Insert the spindle, then carefully place the shredding/slicing or grating disc onto the spindle by its plastic hub. Place the lid with the feeder tube on top, aligning the on/off switch with the bowl's handle. Place food into the feeder tube and use the food pusher. Push the on/off switch forward to the "On" position. Release the switch to turn off.
  • 48-oz. Pitcher: Place the motor base on a dry, level surface. Align and lower the pitcher onto the motor base, rotating it to the left to lock. Insert the 6-blade assembly by its shaft onto the drive gear. Add ingredients, ensuring they do not exceed the maximum marking line. Place the lid on top, aligning the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the pitcher's handle. Push down on the "PULSE" on the handle to start. To remove, pull the lid handle up to a 90° angle, then turn the pitcher clockwise to lift off the base.
  • General Usage Tips: It is generally best to add liquid ingredients first, followed by dry ingredients. For even chopping, pulse ingredients in short intervals. When mixing heavy doughs, mix for up to 1 minute, then rest the appliance for approximately 1 minute to prevent overheating. Always use the food pusher when using the shredding/slicing or grating disc. Never feed food by hand.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Always unplug the motor base before cleaning or removing attachments.
    • DO NOT immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid; clean it with a damp cloth and wipe dry.
    • The bowl, pitcher, and single-serve cups are dishwasher safe.
    • Lids and attachments (including blade assemblies and discs) should be placed on the top rack of the dishwasher.
    • Caution: Blade assemblies and discs are very sharp and should be handled with extreme care during cleaning.
    • Alternatively, containers can be cleaned by filling them with no more than 24-oz. of warm water and a drop of dishwashing detergent, placing the corresponding lid, and pulsing a few times. Rinse thoroughly afterward.
  • Storage:
    • Store the Ninja Kitchen System Pulse upright with the 40-oz bowl on the motor base, the 4-Blade assembly inside, and the lid on the bowl.
    • Secure the power cord by wrapping it around the cord wrap underneath the base.
    • Do not place anything on top of the appliance.
    • Store single-serve cups and other attachments alongside the appliance to prevent damage or hazard.
  • Motor Thermostat Reset: If the appliance overloads and the motor stops, unplug it from the electrical outlet, remove and empty the container, ensure no food is jamming the blades, allow it to cool for approximately 30 minutes, then re-install the container and re-plug the appliance. Proceed with use, ensuring not to exceed maximum capacities.
