The Ninja Sizzle™ Grill and Griddle (GR101 Series) is a versatile indoor cooking appliance designed for household use, offering both grilling and griddle cooking capabilities. It allows users to prepare a variety of foods with chef-designed temperature settings aimed at maximizing flavors and textures while minimizing smoke.

Function Description:

The Ninja Sizzle™ Grill and Griddle is primarily used for cooking food indoors. It features interchangeable grill and griddle plates, allowing for diverse cooking methods. The appliance is equipped with a temperature select dial, enabling users to choose desired cooking temperatures, and a power indicator light to show when the unit is active. A removable splatter lid helps contain splatters during cooking and is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. The unit is designed to provide a virtually smoke-free experience when used with recommended settings and high smoke point oils. It includes a grease trap to collect excess fats and oils, contributing to healthier cooking and easier cleanup. The appliance is suitable for cooking a wide range of items, from frozen meats and marinated proteins to vegetables, fruits, hotdogs, pancakes, fried eggs, steaks, chicken, salmon, and grilled cheese.

Usage Features:

• Interchangeable Plates: Comes with a grill plate and, in some models, a griddle plate, which can be easily installed and removed. The grill plate has a grease trap that should be positioned toward the front.
• Temperature Control: A temperature select dial allows users to set the desired cooking temperature. Recommended temperature settings for various foods include:
  • 325°F: When using thicker barbecue sauces, Burgers
  • 375°F: Marinated proteins or proteins with sauce, Bacon, Steaks, Chicken, Salmon
  • 400°F: Hotdogs, Pancakes, Fried eggs, Grilled cheese
  • 500°F: Veggies, Fruit, Fresh/Frozen seafood
• Preheat Function: The grill requires preheating with the lid closed for 7 minutes before cooking. The power indicator light illuminates when the unit is plugged in and the dial is set to a temperature.
• Lid Usage: The Ninja Sizzle Grill and Griddle can be used with the lid open or closed, offering flexibility in cooking. The splatter lid is removable for cleaning and installation. To remove, open the lid to an approximately vertical position and lift it straight up out of the hinge base. To install, hold it vertically with the handle facing up, align the hinge pivots over the hinge base, ensuring flat sections are oriented vertically, and lower the pivots into the base.
• Smoke-Free Experience: To minimize smoke, users should always select recommended grill settings and use high smoke point oils such as Canola, Refined Coconut, Avocado, Vegetable, or Grapeseed oils. Olive Oil, Butter, Margarine, or aerosol cooking sprays are NOT recommended.
• Safety Precautions:
  • Always read and review instructions before use.
  • Avoid contact with hot surfaces; use hand protection (hot pads or oven mitts) to prevent burns.
  • Do not deep-fry with this appliance.
  • Use an external food thermometer to ensure food is cooked to recommended temperatures.
  • If a grease fire occurs or black smoke is emitted, unplug immediately and wait for smoking to stop before removing accessories.
  • Do not immerse the cord, plugs, or main unit housing in water or other liquid.
  • Do not use if the power cord or plug is damaged.
  • Never use an outlet below countertop surface.
  • Do not allow the cord to hang over edges of tables, counters, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Only use recommended accessories authorized by SharkNinja.
  • Do not move the appliance when in use.

Maintenance Features:

• Cleaning: The unit should be cleaned thoroughly after each use, allowing it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Unplug the unit from the wall outlet before cleaning.
  • The splatter lid is dishwasher safe.
  • Grill and griddle plates are recommended to be hand-washed in warm, soapy water, then air or towel-dried to prolong their nonstick coating.
  • For stubborn food residue or grease, soak the grill grate, splatter lid, or any other removable part in warm, soapy water before cleaning.
  • The base heating unit of the grill should be cleaned with a damp, soapy cloth, then wiped with a clean, damp cloth and dried thoroughly.
  • Important Cleaning Restrictions: NEVER use abrasive tools or cleaners. NEVER immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid. Do not place the main unit in a dishwasher.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance should not be done by children.
• Storage: Allow the appliance to cool before disassembling, putting in or taking off parts, or storing.
• Packaging Disposal: To eliminate a choking hazard for young children, all packaging materials should be discarded immediately upon unpacking.
• First Use Preparation: Before first use, remove and discard all packaging material, stickers, and tape. Wash the grill and griddle plates with a damp, soapy cloth, then wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. It is recommended to turn the unit on at 400°F for 10 minutes without adding food to remove any packaging residue and odor traces, ensuring the area is well ventilated.
