Nissei RS-40 SWR_POWER METER USER MANUAL
Main features :
RS-40 SWR&POWER meter can read out directly without any calibration.
RS-40's maximum measurable power range up to 200W.
Low insertion loss structure allows it to be connected permanently.
1. Output power measurement
(1) Set the function switch to PWR position
(2) Set the power range switch to appropriate power range corresponding to the power of your
radio equipment
(3) Set the radio equipment on transmit and read out a scale corresponding to the range.
(High:200W, Mideum:60W, Low:15W)
2. SWR measurement
(1) Measure output power as described in the section 1.
(2) Power range switch remain unchanged, set the function switch to SWR position.
(3) Set the radio equipment on transmit mode, and figure out SWR by reading out cross section
of the extension point of auxiliary scale at the right end which is corresponding to the
power reading indicated in section 1 and meter indicator reading. (High range..., Medium
range...,Low range....)
Specifications
Frequency range 140-150MHz, 430-450MHz
Measurable power range 0 - 200W
Power range 15W, 60W, 200W

Note:
1.Since the meter movement is very sensitive, avoid excessive vibration or mechanical shock .
2.The absolute maximum power that should be applied to the meter is 200W. Also observe
maximum power inputs of 15W and 60W when using the two lower ranges.
3.The meter must never be reverse connected. Always observe the correct connections to
transmitter and antenna as indicated on the rear sockets.
4.The meter has been carefully calibrated at the factory. Tampering with any of the internal
circuitry or sensors may cause damage and will degrade the meter's accuracy.
5.Do not expose the meter to excessive temperatures, high humidity, or strong magnetic fields.
