■ Keypad lock (keyguard)
With the fold open, select Menu or Unlock, and
press * within 1.5 seconds to unlock the keypad.
Repeat the sequence to lock the keypad. By default,
the keypad is locked.
With the fold closed, press Rewind, and press Fast-
forward within 1.5 seconds to unlock the media
keys.
To set the automatic keyguard, select Menu >
Settings > Phone > Automatic keyguard.
To answer a call when the keyguard is on, press the
call key, or open the phone. When you end or reject
the call, the keypad automatically locks.
Security keyguard
The security keyguard requires a 5-10 digit code to protect against unauthorized
use. To change the code and activate the security keyguard, select Menu >
Settings > Phone > Security keyguard.
When the security keyguard is activated, enter the security code if requested.

When the automatic or security keyguard is on, calls still may be possible to the official
emergency number programmed into your device.
■ Offline profile
Important: In the offline profile, you cannot make or receive any calls, or use other
features that require cellular network coverage. Calls may still be possible to the
official emergency number programed into your device. To make calls, you must
first activate the phone function by changing profiles. If the device has been locked,
enter the lock code.
To activate the Offline (also known as flight or airplane mode) profile, select
Menu > Settings > Profiles, and select Offline. When the Offline profile is active,
the connection to the cellular network is closed, but you can listen to music using
the music player with a wired or bluetooth headset; or the loud speaker.
Remember to switch off your device when wireless phone use is prohibited.
