■ Text message settings
Text message settings affect the sending of messages.
Press Menu, select Messages, Message settings, and Text messages. If more than
one message profile set is supported by your SIM card, select the message profile
set that you want to change. Select
• Message centre number to save the phone number of the message centre. You
need the message centre number to send text and picture messages. You will
receive the number from your service provider.
• Messages sent as to select the message format.
• Message validity to set the length of time that the network will attempt to
send you a message, for example, when your phone is turned off.
• Default recipient no. to save a default number for sending messages for this
message profile.
• Delivery reports to ask the network to send delivery reports about your
messages (network service).
• Use GPRS to set GPRS as the preferred SMS bearer.
• Reply via same centre to allow the recipient of your message to send you a
reply via your message centre (network service)
