STRUT BLADDER REMOVAL
1.
Lay the fully deflated, clean, dry wing flat on the ground with the strut facing up.
2.
Disconnect the HyperFlow hoses from the two strut hose fittings on the strut by opening the
snap clip. You may need a flat-head screwdriver to pry the snap clip apart. Set the snap clips
aside for later use.
3.
Locate the two Strut Bladder Installation Lines. The lower line is in a pocket on the XLT-Joint.
The upper line is located between the top of the strut and the canopy at the LE intersection. If
either line is not visible, take the wing to your North Retailer or North Service Centre.
4.
Untie the lower installation line from the loop on the inner pocket seam. Attach a strong piece
of string to the line. The string should be longer than the length of the strut.
5.
Untie the upper installation line. Attach another strong, long piece of string to the upper
installation line.
6.
Push the installation line knots through the openings into the strut body.
7.
Gently push the two strut hose fittings into the strut body.
8.
Locate the strut tip opening at the trailing edge end of the strut and open the velcro tuck flap
to access the internal bladder.
9.
Gently pull the bladder out through the tip pocket, making sure both strings pass smoothly
through the installation line pocket openings at the LE end of the strut body. Ensure there is
no resistance when pulling the bladder out of the strut body.
IMPORTANT:
Leave the strings attached to the installation lines. Ensure the strings are still inside
the strut body and visible at the openings by the XLT-Joint. You will need these to re-feed the bladder
back into the strut.
