4.1 - Control Keys
The list of commands that can be given via buttons:
- End flooding
- Exclusion
- Buzzer mute
- Muting / Resetting sirens
- Reset
are described in detail below:
Access Level 2 Allows the "Shutdown" output to be disabled only if the UDS-4N is in the
Extinguishing Release Condition and the shutdown output is active, otherwise the button is
inactive. If the shutdown cycle requires the output to reactivate, the output will reactivate, the
buzzer will sound, and the button will be re-enabled. The Release in Progress LED does not go
out because it indicates a condition in which the extinguishing agent has been released at least
once.
Access levels 1 / 2
By pressing the "Exclusion" button, a menu appears with two items: "View" (access level 1) and
"Edit" (access level 2), which contain the same list of devices, but only in the second case can
exclusion be activated/deactivated.
The list of devices that can be excluded is as follows:
– manual activation input;
– shutdown output (*);
– pre-alarm output;
– pilot cylinder outlet / directional valve;
– siren/alarm output (*);
– all (*): equals to having selected all previous exclusions.
(*) See "Out of service condition" for details.
The presence of at least one exclusion results in the following activations:
1) the Exclusion LED on the front panel lights up;
2) activation of the Extinguishing Fault / Exclusions output;
3) displaying the list of excluded devices in the Exclusions menu.
The possibility of modifying the exclusions is precluded when the UDS-4N is in the "Activated condition" with the
exception of the state reached when the siren output or the shutdown output are excluded and any pre-discharge delay
has ended. In this last state, by re-enabling both the siren output and the switch-off output, the pre-set pre-discharge
delay resumes (UNI EN 12094-1:2004, par. 4.15.3).
Access level 1 Enables silencing of buzzer sounds. The buzzer signal is activated under the
following conditions:
1) when the pre-activation condition occurs, either from the terminal block or from the loop. The buzzer is
automatically muted if the cause of the pre-activation disappears, returning the UDS-4N to its resting state;
2) when the activation condition occurs;
3) on the occurrence of the release condition, if this is given by the reception of the activation command from the
flow switch input;
4) each time the switch-off output is reactivated;
5) on the occurrence of any fault condition;
6) when the emergency extension condition occurs;
7) when the emergency stop input is activated.
