2 - ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Environmental conditions
Operating temperature: - 5° C / + 40° C.
Operating relative humidity: Max 95% non-condensing
Storage temperature: - 10° C / + 50° C.
Panel power supply UDS-4N
The control unit is powered by the mains voltage and, in the event of a mains failure, continues to operate normally
thanks to the rechargeable batteries contained in the control unit itself. The characteristics required for the mains voltage
are:
Voltage: 110/230Vac +15% -15%.
Frequency: 50 / 60 Hz.
Power consumption: max 2.3A
Protection fuse F2 5x20 vertical (F2AL)
N.B.: Particular attention must be paid when the installation is located near powerful electromagnetic sources
(e.g. repeaters, radio links, motors, etc.).
Power supply
The power supply unit has the following outputs:
Nominal 28.80Vdc,2.60 A (Regulated power supply for user output, external load power supply)
Charger section
Output voltage = Nominal 27.50 Vdc (min 26.50Vdc max 28.50Vdc) ripple max 500mVpp
Output current = 0.54 A (temperature compensation with external probe)
Plug-in and compatible batteries = 2 x 12V with nominal capacity at 20 hours Max 12Ah
The battery charger section has the following signalling thresholds:
- Low battery threshold = 21.5Vdc measured on batteries. If in Idle, the warning of impending trip is given
approximately 30 minutes before execution. If in Alarm, the warning is given approximately 10 minutes before.
- Recharge imbalance threshold = 3.4 Vdc voltage difference between the two batteries.
- Battery release threshold = 19.5Vdc in the absence of mains voltage and measured on the battery array.
- Absorption at rest from battery in absence of 230 Vac mains voltage:
Unit at rest with display off: 116mA
Unit at rest with display on: 136mA
Unit in alarm with display on: 272mA
The UDS-4N checks the internal resistance of the batteries. The maximum internal resistance of the batteries is 600
ohms. This value, placed in series with the batteries, generates a fault within 4 hours.
N.B. FOR CONNECTION TO THE DEVICES, USE THE CABLE SPECIFIED IN UNI 9795 STANDARDS.
