are ignored when a message is received. Future software releases may, on receipt of some message types
from an earlier version, alter the data before storing it. This will only apply to messages which contain data
blocks. To ensure future compatibility, librarian programs should always maintain a match between the Vv
and Vi byte values and the data block content.
