The following settings affect all the controls within the currently loaded template. Note: All settings must be manually
saved by pressing the write button.
Velocity Curve - VelCurve
Sets how the SL MkII responds to Keyboard velocity messages (how hard the keys are pressed). The options are:
LOUD1, 2, MEDIUM 1, 2, 3, QUIET 1, 2, (FIXED) 8-127.
Loud to Quiet settings define the output velocity i.e. loud settings give higher velocity output for a softer playing style,
Quiet settings give lower velocity output for a harder playing style. 8-127 settings define a fixed output velocity of
corresponding value. The default is MEDIUM 2.
AfterTouch - AfterTch
Aftertouch is an additional expressive control that allows data to be sent fro the SL MkII when you apply additional
pressure on the black or white keys on the keyboard. Aftertouch for the template can be set to either ON or OFF.
Please note that this is channel aftertouch, not polyphonic aftertouch.
Pot Pick-up - Pick-Up
This sets how the rotary pots and sliders behave when switching template and can be set to ON or OFF.
ON: After selecting a template, if the current position of a control does not match the value of the control stored with the
template, the control will not have any effect when operated until its position matches the value stored with the template.
OFF: After selecting a template, if the current position of a control does not match the value of the control stored
with the template, the control value will jump from the stored value to match the position of the control as soon as the
control is operated.
Note: Individual controls can have their own Pick-Up settings. The Template setting will be ignored unless the individual
control is set to TEMPLATE.
tEMPLAtE kEyBoARD zonES
Normally the SL MkII is set so that the entire keyboard outputs on a single MIDI channel. Using Zones, the keyboard
can be split in to 4 separate or overlapping regions. Each Zone can have its own MIDI channel, port, and keyboard range.
