SUBJECT: CHECK / SET COMPACTOR MANIFOLD RELIEF
MODELS: ALL NPK COMPACTOR MODELS
If the compactor relief cartridge has been replaced, disturbed, or is suspected to be out of
adjustment, the following procedure can be used to check and set the relief.
1. Remove the hose from the ‘REG’ (pressure out to motor) port on the manifold. Install
a plug in the motor hose (to prevent oil leak) and install a 0 – 5000 psi gauge to the
‘REG’ port of the manifold.
2. Start the machine, run machine at full rpm, activate the compactor circuit. The reading
on the gauge will indicate the manifold relief setting.
