First, allow 12-15 seconds for the heart rate to register by holding both grips steadily. Ensure you're grasping both sensors with both hands, maintaining a consistent grip without varying tension or position. If your hands are too wet, dry them off before grasping the sensors.

  If your NuStep fitness equipment isn't reading your heart rate when using a chest strap, several factors could be the cause. Ensure the chest strap electrodes are sufficiently wet. Verify you're using a coded chest strap transmitter. Also, review the instructions to ensure the chest strap transmitter electrodes are making direct contact with your skin.
