Overview

The Nutribullet Juicer™ (model NBJ-100) is an 800-watt electric juicer designed for household use, specifically for extracting juice from fruits and vegetables. It operates on 120 V ~ 60Hz power.

Function Description:

The Nutribullet Juicer™ is an extractor that separates juice from pulp. It features a dual-speed control dial (LOW and HIGH) to accommodate different types of produce. The LOW speed is recommended for softer fruits and vegetables, while the HIGH speed is ideal for harder produce like carrots and beets. The juicer includes a 76 mm feed chute, allowing for larger pieces of produce to be inserted. A food pusher is provided to safely guide ingredients into the feed chute and through the stainless steel sieve, which is responsible for separating the juice from the pulp. The extracted juice flows into an 800 ml juice pitcher, which comes with a lid and froth separator. The pulp is collected in a 1.5 L pulp basin, which also features a no-drip spout to prevent spills.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: NBJ-100
  • Power: 800 Watts
  • Voltage: 120 V
  • Frequency: 60 Hz
  • Feed Chute Size: 76 mm
  • Pulp Basin Capacity: 1.5 L
  • Juice Pitcher Capacity: 800 ml
  • Speeds: Dual-speed control dial (LOW and HIGH)
  • Origin: Made in China

Usage Features:

  • Assembly: The juicer is designed for easy assembly. Users start by placing the motor base on a dry, level surface, ensuring the dial is in the "OFF" position and the unit is unplugged. The pulp basin is then placed on top of the motor base, aligning the spout with the dimpled side. The stainless steel sieve is aligned with the motor drive coupling and pushed down until it clicks into place, ensuring it's properly seated. The basin cover is placed over the sieve and pulp basin, aligning its "ears" with those on the pulp basin. The locking handle is raised and moved into the "ears" on each side of the basin cover, securing it in a vertical, locked position. The no-drip spout cover is swung up vertically. Finally, the juice pitcher lid is placed on the juice pitcher, and the pitcher is angled under the juice spout, aligning the spout with the hole in the lid, then leveled to fit snugly.
  • Operation: Before juicing, all desired ingredients should be gathered, washed, peeled (if necessary), and chopped to fit easily into the feed chute. The juicer must be turned on (LOW or HIGH speed) before adding food. The food pusher should always be used to guide ingredients into the feed chute; fingers or other utensils should never be used. Overloading the feed chute should be avoided, and ingredients should be added gradually. The juicer should be turned OFF after each use, and the sieve must stop rotating completely before disassembling.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Always ensure the pulp basin cover is securely clamped with the locking handle before operation.
    • Do not unfasten the locking handle while the juicer is running.
    • Never push food into the feed chute with fingers or utensils; always use the provided food pusher.
    • Do not operate the juicer if the rotating sieve is damaged.
    • The juicer should not be used without the pulp basin and basin lid attached to the motor base.
    • The juicer has a polarized plug; do not modify it.
    • Sharp blades/teeth on the sieve require extreme care during handling.
    • Do not leave the appliance unattended when in use.
    • Keep hands, fingers, hair, clothing, spatulas, and other utensils away from the appliance during operation.
    • If the motor overheats, the juicer will automatically turn off. Allow it to cool for at least fifteen minutes before attempting to use again.
  • Food Preparation:
    • Remove rind from all citrus fruits before juicing.
    • Remove pits from stone fruits before juicing.
    • Hard fruits and vegetables may strain the motor if a low speed is selected.
    • Do not juice frozen fruits or vegetables.
    • Foods that do not contain juice (e.g., bananas, avocados) should not be used.
  • Pulp and Juice: The pulp can be consumed or composted. Fresh juice and pulp should be consumed within 48 hours for best taste.
  • Disassembly: To disassemble, ensure the unit is powered down ("OFF") and unplugged. Remove the pitcher from under the spout, closing the no-drip spout cover. Unlock the locking handle from the basin cover by pulling it backward and moving it down. Remove the pulp basin from the motor base by pulling upwards with the basin cover and sieve still in place. Gently lift the sieve vertically out of the pulp basin. Empty the pulp basin, using the flat end of the cleaning brush to scrape out pulp.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Always unplug the motor base before assembly, disassembly, cleaning, or storage.
    • After emptying the pulp basin, rinse all parts under running water.
    • Use the provided cleaning brush to scrub the sieve under running water immediately after juicing to prevent pulp buildup, which can clog holes and hinder juice extraction. If pulp dries on the sieve, soak it in hot water for 30 minutes.
    • All components, except the food pusher and motor base, are dishwasher safe. They can also be hand-washed with warm, soapy water.
    • Do not use the "Sterilize" cycle in the dishwasher, as it may deform parts.
    • Wipe down the motor base with a clean, damp cloth.
    • Never submerge the motor base in water or any other liquid.
  • Storage: Store the juice pitcher upright with its lid secured. Do not place anything on top of the pitcher lid. Store remaining parts in a safe place to prevent damage, as some parts are sharp.
