Overview

This document describes the OASIS KALIX CONTACTLESS Mains-Fed Water Coolers, specifically models P1CPVCDKY and P1CPVCDHSY. It serves as a user manual providing safety information, usage instructions, warranty details, and contact information.

Function Description:

The OASIS KALIX CONTACTLESS water cooler is a mains-fed appliance designed to dispense ambient, cold, and hot water without physical contact. It is suitable for indoor use in domestic, commercial, and industrial settings. The "contactless" feature implies that water dispensing is activated by sensors, enhancing hygiene.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Refrigerant: The product contains hydro-fluorocarbon refrigerant R-134a, which has a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 1,430.
  • Operating Temperature: Recommended ambient temperatures for correct operation are between 10°C and 32°C.
  • Power Supply: For North American models, the water cooler must be plugged into a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupting (GFCI) receptacle to meet UL requirements.
  • Safety Distance: Users should not approach within 60cm of the device while wearing a Hi-Vis safety vest to avoid accidental activation of the water sensor.
  • Cup Dispenser (P1CPVCDxx models only): Integrated spring-loaded cup dispenser capable of storing approximately 70 cups.

Usage Features:

  • Contactless Dispensing: Water dispensing is activated by holding a hand approximately 60mm above the sensor. An indicator light flashes, and water begins to dispense. Removing the hand stops the flow.
  • Water Types:
    • White Sensor: Dispenses Ambient Water.
    • Blue Sensor: Dispenses Cold Water.
    • Red Sensor: Dispenses Hot Water.
  • Hot Water Safety Feature: To dispense hot water, both red sensors must be activated simultaneously, providing an added safety measure against accidental scalding.
  • Cup Dispenser Operation (P1CPVCDxx models only):
    • Filling Up: Take a stack of cups, turn them upside down, place them on the rubber ring in the dispenser, and press down firmly.
    • Using Cup: Hold the cup lightly and pull it out of the dispenser.
  • Drip Tray (No auto drain system models): To empty, lift the drip tray up by about 30mm before pulling it forward. Users with a self-draining drip tray do not need to remove it for emptying.
  • Waste Water Container (Auto drain system models only):
    • The container has a float indicator to show when it's full.
    • To empty, depress the clip, open the door, drain remaining water into the container, and then empty the container.

Maintenance Features:

  • Sanitization: All coolers should be sanitized prior to first use.
  • Cleaning:
    • Always unplug the unit from the power supply before cleaning.
    • Use mild soap and warm water to clean the panels.
    • Do not use abrasive cleaning products or chlorine-based cleaners, as they will damage the surface finish.
    • OASIS recommends using an anti-bacterial wipe to clean the water outlet on a weekly basis.
  • Professional Servicing: Installation and servicing of the water dispenser should be carried out by an authorized dealer or service center.
  • Cord Replacement: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
  • Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Disposal: The product should be disposed of in accordance with local legal requirements for WEEE. Users should contact their point of sale or local authority for recycling information. Business users should contact their supplier. The product should not be disposed of with other commercial waste.

    • The appliance must be earthed.
  • Hot Tank Safety: Failure to fill the hot tank with water before turning it on can damage the unit.
  • Placement:
    • Ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged when positioning the appliance.
    • Do not locate portable socket-outlets or portable power supplies at the rear of the appliance.
    • Do not place anything on top of the cooler to avoid accidental activation of the water sensor.
    • To avoid hazards due to instability, the appliance must be fixed according to instructions.
  • Scalding Risk: Hot water can scald.
  • Warranty and CE Certification: The warranty and CE certification are automatically void if any alteration, modification, or combination with any other machine or device is deemed to be the source of any claim.
