Electrical connection
10. Electrical connection
10.1 General
WARNING: Electrocution
Before commencing electrical connection and
installation work, the heat pump system must be
isolated from the power supply.
WARNING: Electrocution
Work on electrical connections and installation may
only be carried out by qualied contractors.
WARNING: Electrocution
Before commissioning, the necessary fault pro-
tection measures on the system and the earth
connection must be checked by a qualied con-
tractor.
»
Before commencing work to connect up the power
supply, the necessary activities dened in section
“Preparing the electrical connections” must have
been completed.
»
For the electrical connection, use the system princi-
ple schematic appropriate to your heat pump system.
(See page 46, System principle schematic)
10.2 Electrical connection of the indoor unit
»
Remove the control box cover. (See page 25, Re-
moving the control box cover)
»
Undo and remove the 4 nuts on the two metal plates
at the cable entries.
»
Remove the two metal plates at the cable entries.
Information
When tting the cables in the indoor unit, ensure
that subsequent connection work and soldering on
the refrigerant pipes will not be obstructed by the
cables.
Information
For the shielded cables between the outdoor and
indoor units, use the shielding clamps provided on
the control box panel.
Information
For the cables inside the control box on the indoor
unit, use the cable strain relief ttings provided.
Observe the permissible torque. (0.5-0.8 Nm)
Material damage
An external source of voltage at the sensor termi-
nals can destroy the OTEcontroller.
»
Ensure that no 230 VAC or 400 VAC cables
are touching the sensor terminals on the OTE
controller.
WARNING: Electrocution
When the appliance power supply is on, there will
always be 230 VAC at the PSU signal contact.
»
Connect all cables to the terminals provided or to the
OTE controller.
Information
When connecting the two stepper motors for the
expansion valves, ensure that the wires are as-
signed correctly according to colour.
