11. Operating modes and power characteristics
Operating CharacteristicFunction
mode
AUTO Between highest
(default- and lowest
setting) proportional -
pressure
characteristic
BL Lowest proportional The operating point of the pump will be on the lowest
pressure proportional pressure characteristic depending on the
characteristic required flow rate. If the flow rate requirements are
low, the pump will reduce its pressure. If the flow rate
requirements increase, the pressure will increase, too.
BL Highest proportional The operating point of the pump will be on the
pressure highest proportional pressure characteristic
characteristic depending on the required flow rate.
HD Lowest constant The operating point of the pump will be on the lowest
pressure constant pressure characteristic. The pump pressure
characteristic remains constant and is independent of the flow rate.
HD Highest constant The operating point of the pump will be on the highest
pressure constant pressure characteristic. The pump pressure
characteristic remains constant and is independent of the flow rate.
III Level III The pump operates at constant speed and maximum
power. This level can be used to vent the pump very
quickly.
II Level II The pump operates at constant speed and
medium power.
I Level I The pump operates at constant speed
and minimum power.
If the requirements are met, the pump will
automatically switch to night mode.
PWM Controller The pump power is controlled by an external
(only CPAE-S) operation PWM signal.
If the PWM signal fails, the previously active mode
will be reactivated.
GB
OEG Heating and solar circulation pumps
Highly efficient. Simple. Good!
The AUTO function will automatically control the
pump power within the defined range and adapt it
to the system requirements. In AUTO mode, the
pump is regulated by means of the proportional
pressure control.
