USB VIDEO BORESCOPE

USE
Never insert the camera in energized/operational machines or equipment.
Windows XP1
1. Connect the camera to a free USB 2.0 port on your pc.
2. Open My Computer and look for the “USB Video Device” to see live images.
3. Insert the camera head into the space you want to inspect.
Note: The Watertight Flexible Shaft should easily maneuver into position. Do not
apply force.
4. Turn the LED brightness button to adjust the intensity of the LEDs on the camera head.
5. Press the snapshot button to take a photo. The list of photos appears under the camera image. You can
copy, delete, or view the photos from here.
Windows Vista / 7
1. Connect the camera to a free USB 2.0 port on your pc.
2. Double-click the Amcap icon on your desktop to run the software.
3. In the Options menu, select Preview to see live images.
4. If more than one USB camera is connected to the pc, select the desired camera in the Devices menu.
5. Insert the camera head into the space you want to inspect.
Note: The Watertight Flexible Shaft should easily maneuver into position. Do not
apply force.
6. Turn the LED brightness button to adjust the intensity of the LEDs on the camera head.
7. To capture a video file, first set the default folder and file name: choose File > Set Capture File.
8. Choose Capture > Start Capture and click OK to confirm. The pc now starts capturing the video file.
9. To stop, choose Capture > Stop Capture.
10. Press the snapshot button to take a photo. The photo appears in a separate window. To save the photo,
choose File > Save.
11. When finished, close the Amcap program and unplug the camera from the USB port.

MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the device from the USB port.
2. Wipe the device with a lint-free, soft anti-static cloth. Do not use abrasive solutions or solvents.
3. Clean the Watertight Flexible Shaft and camera with clean water after each use and let it dry before storing
it.
4. Clean any oil, grease or dirt from the Video Borescope, especially on the buttons and ports. This helps
prevent the Video Borescope from slipping from your hands.
5. Inspect the imager head lens for condensation. To avoid damaging the Video Borescope, do not use the
Video Borescope if condensation forms inside the imager head. Let the water evaporate before using again.
