CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Unscrew the EASY DE-CALC (11) cap
and let the water ow into the cup.
Proceed with the soleplate cleaning
(see the “DESCALING THE SOLEPLATE
“ paragraph).
DESCALING THE SOLEPLATE (9)
Do not clean the steam iron plate with corrosive or abrasive
products. Use ONLY specic products commercially available.
- Clean the soleplate (9) regularly to remove any stain.
- You can do that by heating up the iron and moving the soleplate over a moist fabric.
- Descaling the soleplate: if you do not descale your steam generator regularly, scale
may build upon the soleplate.
You can remove scales by following the instructions below:
1. Descale the steam generator before you clean the soleplate (see the “BOILER
DESCALING“ paragraph).
2. Unscrew the EASY DE CALC (11) cap anticlockwise and remove it.
Tilt the boiler on its side and pour 500 ml of distilled water.
Reinsert the cap and reposition the boiler in vertical position.
3. Press the ON/OFF button (16) and wait for 5 minutes.
4. Put a piece of thick cloth on your ironing
board. Place your iron on the cloth, press and
hold the steam trigger (12). While pressing the
steam trigger, slowly move the iron back and
forth across the cloth until no water comes out
anymore or when steam comes out.
Eventual hot and dirty water comes out of the
holes (14) of the soleplate (9).
5. Switch o the steam generator by pressing the
ON/OFF button (16) and let it cool down.
6. Empty the boiler as previously described.
