Why is my ohmex STI 7990 Iron not producing steam?
    • T
      Tiffany HernandezAug 4, 2025
There are several reasons why your ohmex Iron might not be producing steam. First, make sure the iron is turned on and the power plug is correctly inserted into the socket. Second, the plate may not be hot enough, so wait for it to heat up and for the indicator light to turn off. Third, ensure you are pressing the supersteam supply button while steam ironing. Finally, the thermostat may be set too low for steam ironing, so select an appropriate temperature.

What to do if water drops come out from my ohmex STI 7990 Iron plate?

If water drops are coming out from the plate of your ohmex Iron, it could be due to a couple of reasons. One reason is that the thermostat is set to too low a temperature for steam ironing; in this case, select an appropriate temperature for steam ironing. Another reason could be that the cord is cold when you begin to iron, causing steam to condense inside. This is normal; keep the iron on a cloth and press the supersteam supply button. The cloth will absorb the water drops, and after a few seconds, the steam supply should stabilize.

How to clean a dirty plate on my ohmex STI 7990?
    • G
      gary19Aug 14, 2025
If the plate of your ohmex Iron is dirty, it could be due to impurities or chemical substances in the water, or because you are ironing at too high a temperature. In either case, clean the plate with a damp cloth. If you were ironing at too high a temperature, also set the iron to the required ironing temperature.

What to do if ohmex STI 7990 leaves wet zones on fabrics?
    • T
      Tyler HornAug 18, 2025
If your ohmex Iron is leaving wet zones on fabrics, it may be because steam is condensing on the ironing board. To resolve this, pass the iron over the wet zones several times without supplying steam to dry them. If the lower part of the ironing board is wet, dry it with a dry cloth. To prevent steam from condensing on the ironing board, use an axis with a net plane.

Why does my new ohmex STI 7990 emit smoke when I turn it on?
    • T
      timothybullockAug 25, 2025
It's perfectly normal for a new ohmex Iron to emit smoke when turned on for the first time. This is because some parts of the iron have been slightly lubricated at the factory. This phenomenon should disappear after a short while.
