[C] Replace SRAM board
(1) Confirm that the power is turned OFF.
(2) Take off the Fax Unit (GD-1340) if it is installed.
(3) Replace the SRAM board (for the SYS board).

[D] Clear SRAM system storage area
(1) TurnthepowerONwhilepressing[6]and[CLEAR]simultaneously.
(2) When“SRAMClearMode”appearsontheLCD,keyin[1]toselect“1.ClearSRAM”
and then press the [START] button.
(3) When“SRAMFormatCompleted”isdisplayedontheLCD,initializingiscompleted.
(4) Turn the power OFF.
[E] Restore SRAM
IfthereisSRAMbackupdata,performthefollowingsteps.
(1) TurnthepowerONwhilepressing[6]andthe[CLEAR]buttonsimultaneously.
(2) When“SRAMClearMode”appearsontheLCD,keyin[0]toselect“0.SetSerial
Number” and then press the [START] button.
(3) Keyintheserialnumberonthelabelattachedtotherearcoveroftheequipment,and
thenpressthe[OK]button.
(4) “SerialNumberSettingcompleted”isdisplayed.
(5) Turn the power OFF.
(6) InstalltheUSBdeviceintheequipment,andthenturnthepowerONwhilepressing[5]
and [9] simultaneously.
(7) Keyin[2]toselect“2.RestoreSRAMDatafromUSB”andthenpressthe[START]
button.
(8) Enterthepasswordsetforthebackupdata.
(9) Enter the serial number of the backup file.
(10) Turn the power OFF after the restoring of SRAM is completed.
Remarks:
Whentherestorationiscompletedsuccessfully,donotperform“[F]ClearSRAM
updateerrorags”orlaterprocedures.
End this procedure here and finish replacing the SRAM board (for SYS board).
(11) Reinstall the GD-1340 Fax Unit if used.
[F] Clear SRAM update Error flags
(1) TurnthepowerONwhilepressing[3]andthe[CLEAR]buttonsimultaneously.
(2) Enterthepassword,andthenpressthe[OK]button.(Ifthepasswordisnotsetfor
Service,pressthe[ENTER]buttonwithoutenteringanything.)
(3) After“FirmwareAssistMode”isdisplayedontheLCD,checkthat“1:ClearErrorFlag
in Software Installation.” is marked and press the [START] button.
Ifnot,keyin[1]andthenpressthe[START]button.
(4) When“OperationComplete”isdisplayedontheLCD,clearingtheagiscompleted.
(5) Turn the power OFF.
