Turn
Autronic-Eye
control
switch,
located
behind
headlight switch, to
"ON"
position. (See illustration.)
Your Autronic-Eye will now give you automatic
headlight control.
When
driving conditions do
not
call for
automatic
operation
,
such
as city
driving
,
the
Autronic-Eye
ma
y be
turned
off
by
placing the
control
switch in the
"OFF"
position. With the switch in the "
OFF"
Position headlights are controlled by
the foot
dimmer
switch in the regular manner.

I.
To
signal an oncoming car
that
has its headlights on upper beam (bright),
depress
the
auxiliary foot switch, then release. This momentarily flashes
your headlights from lower beam (dim) to
upper
beam (bright).
2.
To
keep the headlights
on
upper beam (bright), depress the auxiliary foot
switch and hold in this position until you desire the Autronic-Eye to auto-
matically control the headlights.
3.
To
keep the h.eadlights
on
lower
beam
(dim), depress the
standard
foot
dimmer switch as in ordinary dimming.
NOTE:
Standard
foot
dimmer
switch must be
depressed
again
(see
step
2
under
"
To
Operate
the
Autronic-Eye") to "bright" position before
Autronic-Eye regains control.
This
is
an
electronic
device. All
adjustments
have been made
at
the factory. The cover should
not
be
removed
nor
any
adjustments
made
exc
ept
by
an
Authorized
Oldsmobile
Dealer.
The
windshield glass directly in front
of
the
Autronic-Eye should be kept reasonably clean.
WINDSHIELD WASHER
The
windshield washer operating
button
is placed in the center
of
the wind-
shield wiper control knob. To operate the washer, push
and
hold this button
on
its
inward
position momentarily
and
then
release. A stream
of
fluid will
be
directed
on
the right
and
left side
of
the windshield.
To
keep the washer
solution from freezing
and
cracking the glass fluid
container
during freezing
weather, use G.M. Windshield Washer Solution. This fluid will not keep the
fluid from freezing
on
the windshield
and
therefore,
the
washer should
not
be
used when the temperature is below
