  Your Olympus Digital Camera might not be working due to several reasons: the power is off (open the lens barrier fully to turn on the camera), the batteries are loaded incorrectly (reload them correctly), the batteries are exhausted (replace them), the batteries are too cold (warm them in your pocket), the camera is in sleep mode (operate the camera), there is condensation inside (wait until it dries), or it's connected to a PC (disconnect it).

  If the flash on your Olympus Digital Camera isn't firing, check if it's set to flash off mode (select another mode). If the subject is illuminated, set the flash to fill-in mode. Also, the flash will not fire in sequential shooting, movie mode, super macro shooting (set in DRIVE mode), or panorama mode (cancel panorama mode).

  If pictures you have taken do not appear on the monitor of your Olympus Digital Camera, the power might be off (close the lens barrier, and press to turn the monitor on). Or the camera is in the shooting mode (press or close the lens barrier and then press to switch to the playback mode), there are no pictures on the card (record pictures), there is a problem with the card (refer to the "Error codes"), or the camera is connected to a TV (the monitor does not function when the AV cable is connected to the camera).

  The monitor on your Olympus Digital Camera might be hard to see because the brightness is not adjusted properly (select in the mode menu and then adjust the brightness), or the monitor is exposed to direct sunlight (block the sunlight with your hand).

  If the settings on your Olympus Digital Camera are returned to the factory default settings when the camera is turned off, it's because ALL RESET is set to ON. To fix this, select the SETUP tab in the mode menu and set ALL RESET to OFF.
