Choosing aperture (A aperture-priority mode)
In mode A, you choose the aperture and let the camera automatically adjust shutter
speed for optimal exposure. Rotate the mode dial to A.
You can set the aperture value with the control ring, and
the exposure compensation with the sub dial.
Larger apertures (lower F-numbers) decrease depth of
eld (the area in front of or behind the focus point that
appears to be in focus), softening background details.
Smaller apertures (higher F-numbers) increase depth
of eld.
Lower aperture value F2F5.6F8.0 Higher aperture value
The shutter speed display will blink if the camera is unable to achieve optimal exposure.
