Contrast Distinction between light and dark

Sharpness Sharpness of the image

Saturation Vividness of the color
k
Gradation Adjust tone (gradation).

Auto
Divides the image into detailed regions and adjusts
the brightness separately for each region. This is
effective for images with areas of large contrast in
which the whites appear too bright or the blacks
appear too dark.
Normal Use [Normal] mode for general uses.
High Key Gradation for a bright subject.
Low Key Gradation for a dark subject.
B&W Filter
(Monotone)
Creates a black and white image. The lter color is
brightened and the complementary color is darkened.

N:Neutral Creates a normal black and white image.
Ye:Yellow
Reproduces clearly de ned white cloud with natural
blue sky.
Or:Orange Slightly emphasizes colors in blue skies and sunsets.
R:Red
Strongly emphasizes colors in blue skies and
brightness of crimson foliage.
G:Green
Strongly emphasizes colors in red lips and green
leaves.
Pict. Tone
(Monotone)
Colors the black and white image.
k
N:Neutral Creates a normal black and white image.
S:Sepia Sepia
B:Blue Bluish
P:Purple Purplish
G:Green Greenish
# Cautions
Changes to contrast have no effect at settings other than [Normal].
Image quality (record mode)
Select an image quality. You can select a separate image quality for photographs and
movies. This is the same as the [K] item in [Live Control].
You can change the JPEG image size and compression ratio combination, and [X] and
[W] pixel counts. [K set], [Pixel Count] g “Record modes (still images)” (P. 40)
