TROUBLESHOOTING TABLE
The interventions must be carried out by
technical staff specialized in mechanics
and the hydraulic.

Possible cause Suggested solution
The hand wheel for cylinder upstroke
is open.
Tighten the cylinder return hand wheel (46 FIG. 14).
Shortage of oil in the tank. Check oil level through the tank filler cap (33 FIG. 14).
Top up if necessary.
Air bubbles inside the cylinder or the
pipes.
Make the cylinder shaft perform a complete up - and
downstroke.
Shortage of oil in the tank. Check oil level through the tank filler cap (33 FIG. 14).
Top up if necessary.
Leakage of oil through the circuit. Make sure there are no oil leaks from pipe joints.
Pumping unit worn out or failing to
operate.
Extract the pumping member (61 FIG. 14) from the
pump and inspect the gaskets (58 - 59 - 60 FIG. 14).
Cylinder gasket damaged. Replace the cylinder (2 FIG. 13) or request
intervention from the Technical Service for gasket
replacement.
Impurities in the cylinder return valve
ball.
Completely unscrew the shaft upstroke wheel (46 FIG.
14). With the special sealing bush (45 FIG. 14),
remove the ball (43 FIG. 14) and clean the ball seat.
Cylinder gasket damaged. Replace the cylinder (2 FIG. 13) or request
intervention from the Technical Service for gasket
replacement.
Symptom
The cylinder does not move
when the pump is on.
Pressure rises in bursts.
Pressure does not reach the
preset value.
Circuit pressure decreases
too much during pump stop.
The max. pressure valve is sealed by the manufacturer.
In cases of failures ensuing from it, contact OMCN
S.p.A.
If problems persist even after applying the above solutions,
contact OMCN S.p.A. and avoid any non-specific
operations.

included in this instruction handbook.
Use only original OMCN spare parts for maintenance
operations. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for
any damage caused by the use of unoriginal fittings.
