Testing with a forearm or palm sample
When your blood glucose is changing rapidly,
such as:
within two hours after a meal
within two hours after a rapid-acting
insulin injection or insulin pump bolus
during or within two hours after exercise
Whenever you are concerned about the
possibility of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar)
If you have hypoglycaemia unawareness
If you are ill
During times of stress
Before or more than two hours after:
a meal
a rapid-acting insulin injection
or insulin pump bolus
exercise
The OneTouch® Vita™ Meter allows you to obtain a blood
sample from your forearm or palm. Collecting a drop of blood
from these “alternative sites” may be less painful than a
ngertip sample.
