Why is there no sound from my Onkyo DV DV-SP405?

There could be several reasons for the lack of sound. First, check that the '96 kHz PCM Out' setting is not set to “96kHz”; if it is, change it to “96kHz > 48kHz”, or use analog connections. Also, ensure that the 'Digital Out' setting is set to 'On'. Verify that the correct input source is selected on your TV, hi-fi amp, or AV receiver, and that the audio cable is properly connected. Make sure your TV, hi-fi amp, or AV receiver are turned on and the volume is appropriately adjusted. Check the 'Digital Audio Out' settings and correct them if necessary. Finally, confirm that playback is not paused; if it is, resume playback.
