Dubbing a CD to an MD (CD dubbing) (continued)
3 Select a CD Dubbing mode.
4 Press CD DUBBING to start dubbing.
The FR-V77 searches for the peak level in the CD and
sets the optimum recording level. (DLA LINK)
Note:
If you change the REC MODE switch setting after
recording starts, the recorded sound will be interrupted.
Switching the display information during dubbing
• Pressing CD/MD repeatedly toggles between the CD
and MD information display.
Canceling the dubbing
operation
When playback of a CD is
complete, or an MD is recorded
up to the end, recording
automatically stops. To cancel
the operation during recording,
press MD
or CD .
Can’t dub?
• “Cannot Rec” appears on
the display.
The current MD is for playback
only. Use a recordable MD.
• “Protected” appears on the
display.
The MD is write-protected. See
“Precautions for handling the
MiniDisc (MD)” on page 55.
• “Disc Full” appears on the
display.
The MD has no space
available for recording. Use a
new MD.
• “CD Dub Fail” appears on
the display.
The MD mechanism is still
operating. Wait a while, then
press CD DUBBING.
The CD is in RANDOM mode.
Press MODE/AUTO/MONO to
cancel RANDOM mode.

Dub Mode?.”
2 Press REPEAT/YES.
A message appears asking if you wish to change the
current setting.
(In this example, the “Fade → Album?” message asks you
if you wish to change from Fade out to Album dubbing.)
Album dubbing:
If the entire last song being recorded does not fit on the
MD, that song will be deleted.
Fade out dubbing:
If the entire last song being recorded does not fit on the
MD, that song fades out at the end.
3 To select Album mode, press REPEAT/YES. To
accept the current setting, press EDIT/CLEAR/NO.
“CD-MD Dubbing” scrolls on
the display.
“X2 Dubbing?” appears for
two seconds.
