      If the Onkyo Car Receiver remote controller isn’t working, ensure the batteries are installed with the correct polarity (+/–), and try replacing them with new ones, avoiding mixing different types or new and old batteries. Also, make sure the remote controller is not too far from the receiver and there are no obstacles between them. Bright light (like sunlight or inverter-type fluorescent light) may interfere with the remote control sensor. Finally, check if the receiver is behind glass doors and ensure that the receiver and remote controller are set to the same remote control ID.

Also, keep power cords and speaker cables away from the antenna. If these steps don't help, consider installing an outdoor antenna. Note that cars or airplanes can cause interference, and concrete walls can weaken radio signals.

      RDS may not work on your Onkyo Car Receiver if the FM station you are tuned to does not support RDS. You can try installing an outdoor FM antenna, changing its position or direction, and moving it away from fluorescent lights.
