Why is the 'Alarm Indicator' not illuminated when the beam is blocked on my Optex AX-200TF?
    • O
      ostuartAug 7, 2025
The 'Alarm Indicator' might not illuminate on your Optex Security Sensors due to several reasons: the power supply voltage may be inappropriate (check that the voltage is between 10.5 and 28VDC); the wiring distance or wire diameter may be inappropriate (check the wiring distance); beams may be reflecting off surfaces and entering the receiver (realign the optical axis, remove reflecting objects, or change the installation site); you might not be interrupting both upper and lower beams simultaneously (interrupt both beams at the same time); or the receiver may be picking up beams from other transmitters (move the receiver to a location free from other transmitters' beams).

How to fix Optex AX-200TF alarm activating even if the light is not blocked?
    • B
      Becky CopelandAug 12, 2025
If your Optex Security Sensors alarm activates without the light being blocked, consider these potential causes: * An object might be intermittently blocking the beam (remove any obstructions). * A vehicle or plant may be interfering (relocate the sensors). * The transmitter/receiver cover could be dirty (clean it with a soft, damp cloth). * The optical alignment might be inaccurate (realign the sensors). * The installation location may be inappropriate (change the location).

How to fix Optex Security Sensors LEDs on the transmitter not illuminated?
    • N
      nathanhallAug 16, 2025
If the LEDs on the transmitter of your Optex Security Sensors are not illuminated, it could be due to: inappropriate power supply voltage (ensure it's between 10.5 and 28VDC), a disconnection in the power line (check the wiring), or inappropriate wiring distance or wire diameter (check the wiring distance).

    Sophia RoseAug 22, 2025
What to do if blocking the beam doesn't activate the alarm on Optex Security Sensors?
    • E
      eric69Aug 22, 2025
If blocking the beam in front of the receiver illuminates the 'Alarm Indicator' but doesn't activate the alarm on your Optex Security Sensors, the signal line may be short-circuited (check the wiring) or the alarm contact may be welded (repair is required, contact the distributor or installer).
  • J
    Jessica JohnsonAug 27, 2025
Why doesn't the 'Alarm Indicator' of the Optex AX-200TF receiver go out?
    • A
      Andrew RojasAug 27, 2025
If the 'Alarm Indicator' on your Optex Security Sensors receiver remains illuminated, it could be because the optical axis of the transmitter and receiver are not aligned (make realignment) or an object is blocking the beam between them (remove the object or move the unit).

    Adrienne HamiltonAug 31, 2025
Why frost, snow, or heavy rain cause false alarms in Optex AX-200TF Security Sensors?
    • A
      Alicia HodgeAug 31, 2025
Frost, snow, or heavy rain can cause false alarms in Optex Security Sensors if the optical alignment is not optimized. Make realignment.
