Removing Components to Reduce System Weight
Before installing Oracle Database Appliance Version 1 into a rack, you can remove components
to reduce the weight of the system so that two persons can lift the system into the rack.
Removing system components reduces the weight to approximately 96 pounds (43.5 kg).
Remove the following components to reduce the system weight:
■
Server nodes
■
Power supplies
Note - Because of their light weight, you do not need to remove filler panels from the system.
For instructions on removing components from the system and associated safety information,
see the Oracle Database Appliance Service Manual.
