Inline Mode Option (Interfaces in Fail-to-Wire)
10. Connect the green Enterprise LAN (Port 1) cable to the E100 port 1 with
the other end of the cable connected to a LAN switch.
11. Connect the orange WAN 1 (Port 2) cable to the E100 port 2 with the other end
of the cable connected to the upstream WAN device.
12. Connect the blue MGT (Port 6) cable to the LAN device (requires
Internet, DHCP, and DNS).
13. Power on the E100 Appliance and observe the LCD display on the front panel.
14. When prompted with “Ports in Bypass Yes / No” on the LCD, select “Yes” to
proceed with the appliance in Inline mode (with interfaces in Fail-to-Wire).
15. The E100 will begin communication with the Talari Registration Server.
16. Once the package has been uploaded, the appliance will reboot and service will
restart.
17. The E100 Appliance will now be operational.
Legacy Deployment Method
The E100 APNA ships with a default IP address of 192.168.0.2/30. In order to access
your appliance remotely, you must first connect to it directly via Port 5 and configure a
Management IP address for the appliance.
From the PC connected to the Talari
Change the IP address of your PC to 192.168.0.1.
Change the Subnet Mask of your PC to 255.255.255.252.
