This diagram shows a full competition "Killer System" using an ORION
300 CRX 3-Way Active Crossover to separate the highs, midranges and
lows. This allows each type of speaker to handle only those frequencies it
was designed to reproduce. The lows are then applied to an ORION 400 BDG
Bridging Module. The Summed Mono output can now be used to drive up to
20 amplifiers connected in parallel as shown in the diagram.
The selected high frequencies are kept in stereo and applied to a pair of
tweeter amplifiers. Since the high frequencies require much less power, the
diagrams shows smaller amplifiers for driving the tweeters than those used
for the mid and low frequencies.
The selected midrange frequencies are also kept in stereo and applied to a
pair of amplifiers that drive the midrange speakers.
