NOTE: do not submerge the i-Digits, wristband, cover, electrode surface or charger in water.
Clean the cover with isopropyl alcohol once a week to help with disinfection.
MAINTENANCE
– Instruct user to always turn off the i-Digits device when not in use.
– Instruct user to charge the battery after use.
– A certified clinician can perform limited maintenance and repair activities. Do not perform any maintenance
or repairs which are not described in this manual.
– Make sure the i-Digits device is returned to Össur for service every months.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Action
Prosthesis does not operate
Ensure prosthesis is turned on
Ensure battery is connected
Ensure battery is charged
Ensure electrodes have good contact
One digit does not operate
Use Health Check in the Biosim app to check if the digit is
operating correctly
Prosthesis stops halfway during an action
Electrode settings may need to be adjusted
Check the electrode cable is not damaged
Check the digit screws are not loose
Ensure electrodes have good contact
User complains the prosthesis is difficult
to operate
Electrode settings may be too low, review on Biosim myograph
Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged
Ensure the electrodes are grounded properly and maintain contact
with the user’s skin throughout use
Check electrode placement and wiring
Battery charge does not last as long as
expected
Fully charge the battery overnight. Check the battery connection
Ensure electrodes are not set too high
Check user is not holding a sustained signal to the hand by
reviewing real time graph, or check for excessive signal counts in
usage statistics
Replace with a spare battery
Battery is not working
Check the battery is connected
Check the battery is charged
Check the device using one of the spare batteries
