HOW TO MAKE YOUR FIRST POT OF COFFEE
MEASURING THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF GROUNDS AND WATER
Determine how much coffee you would like to make and match the carafe, scoop and
water window. The quantity markings quickly indicate how much water and coffee
grounds should be added for consistent taste.
SUGGESTED COFFEE MEASUREMENT CHART:
For best results, brew 4 or more cups of coffee.
Water To Brew Ground Coffee
12 cups = 1.776L 3 scoops = 9 tbs.
10 cups = 1.48L 2.5 scoops = 7.5 tbs.
8 cups = 1.184L 2 scoops = 6 tbs.
6 cups = 0.888L 1.5 scoops = 4.5 tbs.
4 cups = 0.592L 1 scoops = 3 tbs.

1. Fill the carafe with fresh cold water to the desired level.

into Water Reservoir.
NOTE:Somewaterwillbeabsorbedintothecoffeegroundsandwaterlterduring
the brewing process.
2. Insertthereusablelterintothelterholdermakingsurethatitispositioned
correctly, since otherwise the lid will not close.
3. Referencing the chart above, scoop the equivalent amount of coffee grounds into the
lterusingthemeasuringscoop.
4. Put the carafe on the heating plate/platform horizontally.
5. Press the button to start Brewing.
6. Removethecarafefromthewarmingplatewhendonebrewing(aboutaminuteafter
the coffee stops dripping).
NOTE: The coffee you get will be less than the water you have added, as some of
the water is absorbed by the ground coffee.
7. Whentheprocessisnished,ifyoudonotwanttoserveimmediately,keepthe
coffee maker connected to the outlet, the coffee in the carafe can be kept warm on
the heating plate, and the appliance will turn off automatically after 2 hours if it has
not been manually disconnected at the end of the preparation. For optimal coffee
avor,serverightafterbrewing.
NOTE: For model BVSTDCSC4404 the coffeemaker will automatically turn off once it
is done brewing.
8. Always turn off the coffee maker when not in use. NOTE: Pay attention when pouring
the coffee, you may get hurt as the temperature of the freshly brewed coffee is high.
