If your test results seem incorrect, follow these steps: 1. Open AURICAL HIT and remove the hearing instrument and the coupler microphone. 2. Point the reference microphone towards the area of the coupler microphone socket in AURICAL HIT. 3. Close the lid. 4. Run the test. 5. Look at the curve at 90 dB SLP. It must be as flat as possible. 6. If it is not, make a Validation Report, recalibrate, and repeat the sequence above. 7. If test results still seem incorrect, replace the relevant microphone and calibrate the new microphone.

To exclude ambient noise and comply with the ANSI S3.22 standard, place the system in a moderately quiet room. Additionally: * If noise enters the test chamber, try slightly moving the device, as this can significantly alter the noise level at certain frequencies. * If noise enters the test chamber via the table or stand, try adding a heavy-duty mounting mat or replacing the table or stand with a more suitable support. * If needed, place the PC and any other equipment on a separate table to prevent noise and vibrations from influencing sensitive tests.
