3.1 RACK/DESKTOP CONVERSION
The OWC Mercury Rack Pro comes with two rack handles to help move the Rack Pro into
and out of a rack system. Four rubber feet are also included for use in a desktop environ-
ment. The rack handles and desktop feet are included with the unit, but have not been
installed. Use a Phillips screwdriver to install either the handles or feet, depending on how
you intend to use the Rack Pro. Two padded bumpers are included to cover the screw holes
that are not used by the rack handles when the Rack Pro is configured as a desktop solution.

desktop, then click “Eject”.
For Windows systems:
1. Go to the System Tray (located in the lower right corner of your screen). Click on the
“Eject” icon (a small green arrow over a hardware image).
2. A message will appear, detailing the devices that the “Eject” icon controls, i.e., “Safely
remove...” Click on this prompt.
3. You will then be given the following message. “Safe to Remove Hardware”. It is now
safe to unhook the OWC Mercury Rack Pro from the computer.
