Full-ow Oil Filter Removal
WARNING!
Lubricating oil can cause skin irrita-
tion or skin injury. To prevent skin in-
jury, avoid unnecessary contact with
the lubricating oil. Wear protective
clothing, eye wear and gloves when
handling lubricating oil. Failure to
comply may result in personal injury.
Full-ow Oil Filter Installation
1. Lightly oil
the new O-ring.
2. Install a
new O-ring onto the screw
cap.
3. Install the
screw cap, with the
oil lter cartridge, onto the lter
housing. Tighten the screw
cap to 354 lb-in (40 Nm). Use
a hexagonal socket to avoid
damaging the oil lter cap.

1. Unscrew the cap a few turns
and drain the lter housing. Use
a hexagonal socket to avoid
damaging the oil lter cap.
2. Remove the
cap, with the oil lter
cartridge, from the lter housing.
Then remove the oil lter cartridge
from the screw cap.
3. Remove the
O-ring from the screw
cap.
