Maintenance Procedures
After Replacing Oil Filter(s)
1. Reconnect the
chassis battery
cable at the negative battery
terminal. See Warnings at
Centrifugal oil lter removal
preparation.
2. Add approved
engine oil SAE
10W30 API CJ-4 to the maximum
level marked on the dipstick.
3. Start and
run the engine for ve
to ten minutes and check for any
oil leaks.
4. Remove oil
collection pan and
dispose of any spillage properly.
5. Check engine
oil level and top up
as necessary.
° chassis must be on level
surface
° wait at least ve minutes if the
engine has been hot
° pull the dipstick and wipe with
a clean, lint free cloth
° reinsert the dipstick, then
remove and check the oil level
° add approved engine oil
SAE 10W30 API CJ-4 to the
maximum level marked on the
dipstick
Replacing Fuel Filter
WARNING!
When removing the fuel lter, a
quantity of fuel will escape. Do not
smoke or allow an open ame in
close proximity. Failure to do so
could ignite a re or cause an ex
-
plosion which could result in serious
injury to you and/or bystanders. Fail
-
ure to comply may result in death,
personal injury, equipment or prop
-
erty damage.
NOTE
The fuel
lter and the hand pump are
located on the left-hand side of the
engine.
