  If your Pacific hydrostar Water Pump isn't pumping water even when the motor is running, there could be several reasons. First, ensure the pump is properly primed by pouring clean water into the Priming Inlet. Check all pipes and joints in the suction line for air leakage using soapy water. Reduce vertical lift to within specifications. Make sure the water level is not below the suction inlet of the foot valve; lower the suction line and re-prime. If water is deeper than 26 ft, a deep well pump may be needed. Thaw the pipes if they are frozen, and consider burying or insulating them. Raise the foot valve if it's in dirt or sand. Clean or replace a clogged foot/check valve. Finally, have the pressure switch adjusted by a qualified technician (20-50 psi) if it's set too low.
