The range hood should be mounted be-
tween 24” to 32 (610 - 813 mm) height
from the bottom of the range hood to the
top of the cooking surface.
The Range Hood may be mounted:
flush to the bottom of the cabinet
where the door does not protrude be-
yond the flat bottom; or
where the door protrudes beyond the
bottom of the cabinet, or a recess ex-
ists in the cabinet bottom, flush to a
constructed frame mount (see graphic
at top of page for an example).
To form a recessed bottom mount, mea-
sure the area under the cabinet from the
back edge to the front edge, and cut 2 only
1X 2” filler strips to ll in the bottom of the
cabinet. Make certain the filler strips create
a level mounting surface for the unit.
Once the mount is established, either
flush or recessed, using the measurements
given, mark out the location of:
the vent option (pipe or plenum);
the electrical cable hole; and
the mounting holes.
Cut out the wall or cabinet and install the
duct work to mate at this location.
