17.4.5 H16 (Outdoor Current Transformer)
Malfunction Decision Conditions
An input current, detected by Current Transformer CT, is below threshold value when the compressor is
operating at certain frequency value for 3 minutes.
Malfunction Caused
Lack of gas.
Broken CT (current transformer).
Broken Outdoor PCB.
Troubleshooting
For safety reason and to
prevent component breakdown,
always switch off the power before
remove and connect the component.
When abnormality indication starts again.
Check for gas leaking source; Repair
or replace defected part(s).
Capillary tube/expansion valve
blockage; Replace defected part(s).
Compressor Lack Compression.
Replace Compressor.
Check & replace defected CT.
Refer to Service Manual Technical Graph
for Temp vs Current and Pressure.
In forced cooling, check suction pressure
versus running current.
Suction pressure and running current is
normal.
Running current is much too low and
suction pressure is much too high.
Running current and suction pressure is
very low.
